Welcome to my updated cozy apartment! I live in a little one bedroom apartment and have had lots of fun working with the space to turn it into a home that I love.
Starting with the living room - I recently changed the rug and the throw pillows. I had a rug that had more cool colors to it like blues, but I really wanted the space to feel warmer. I found this rug and wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but it has really grown on me and now I LOVE IT! I decided that my pop of color was going to be olive green because I love the earthiness of it and how it adds color while still keeping the space look warm and light.

Other Living Room Decor:
If you can't tell already, I really love the minimalist look and very neutral colors. For me, these tones and this style of decor makes it so easy to be home and feel relaxed. When there is too much clutter in a space, I have noticed that my mind becomes cluttered too!
I am still on the hunt for some beautiful art work to go right above my couch and also one or two accent chairs to go right in front of the windows! I'm thinking about doing a leather accent chair to tie into the leather bar stools in my kitchen... I just can't find the perfect chair!
Now, on to the kitchen! I feel so lucky for my not so little kitchen for a one bedroom apartment! I think the kitchen often gets overlooked in terms of decorating! The kitchen is such a functional space that we spend so much time in, so why wouldn't we make it beautiful?? The best part is that it can be so simple. A little decorating sprinkled throughout the kitchen can make such a difference!
